Kevin Demain calls time on his MCC Career

Kevin Demian plays his final game for Morecambe Cricket Club. He plays for the 2nds at Warton in his final game. Having first played for the 2nds in 1984, he led them to their first league success in 1991. This triggered a period of over 20 years of great success for the team with numerous league and cup triumphs.
Personally Kevins move to opening in the 90’s saw him reap his greatest rewards, finally capturing the long standing 2nd team batting record in 1995 with 676 runs. Finally retiring in 2002 with near 6,300 runs.
He returned to captain the 3rds, a job he took on with all his usual enthusiasm and drive for success, again in the runs and leading his side to cup victory. Kevin finally finishes having played over 450 games for the club, scoring over 9,000 runs
The club wishes to place on record its thanks for his contribution over the past 40 years
